The group’s revenue was £1.45billion last year, according to forecasts, 121 per cent higher than in 2020.

Fighting back: Cineworld saw success with the latest James Bond film, No Time to Die

But it has lost £614m – down from just over £1billion.

The world’s second-largest cinema chain saw success with the latest James Bond film, No Time to Die.

But its share price has been hamstrung by two legal battles.

Susannah Streeter, at Hargreaves Lansdown, said: ‘The full easing of restrictions should put more film fans into seats.’
