The state of Maryland isn’t big in size nor population (just over 6 million people), but for a variety of reasons, it’s a must-see place for frequent travelers and adventurers.
Located in the Mid-Atlantic area of the United States, Maryland is home to some of the nation’s most delicious seafood, historical significance and much more. There is plenty to do in the state of Maryland, whether you’re a sports fan, history fanatic and/or a lover of hikes and beautiful nature.
Here are reasons why you should soon make a trek to the state of Maryland.
See Ravens & Orioles Games
M&T Bank Stadium, home of the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens, is one of the most passionate and electrifying sporting venues in the country.
The Ravens have won two Super Bowls (in the 2000 and 2012 seasons), and they’re usually among the primary favorites to win it all. Caesars in Maryland has them at +2000 to win Super Bowl 57, and DraftKings lists the Ravens at +2200.
Betting in Maryland Should it get legalized soon, the Caesars will be among the top sportsbook options you can use in Maryland. Through Caesars, customers would be able to bet on the Ravens, Baltimore Orioles and the Washington-based sports teams (the NFL’s Commanders, MLB’s Nationals, NHL’s Capitals and NBA’s Wizards).
The Ravens are currently one of the biggest must-see things on television thanks to the play of 2019 league MVP Lamar Jackson. The dual-threat star has already recorded a pair of 1,000 rushing yard seasons.
Though the rebuilding Orioles have been among baseball’s worst teams since 2017, Oriole Park at Camden Yards is a must-see venue in Baltimore. Tickets are always incredibly cheap, and for sports fans, there’s almost nothing like sitting back and enjoying a hot dog, popcorn or cotton candy at the old ball game.
If you’re a college sports fan, you can also try to see a Maryland Terrapins basketball or football game. The football team will open its 2022 season with a home tilt against Buffalo on Sept. 3.
