Breaking Bad

Considered to be the best TV show of all time, this show is about a chemistry teacher who starts “breaking bad”. High school teacher Walter White finds out that he has cancer and he wishes to provide his family all that he can but without having to teach chemistry at school. He teams up with his old student, Jesse Pinkman, and he starts cooking meth. After testing his product, he finds out that it is the purest in the whole country and it would sell really expensive. Eventually, Walter becomes obsessed with being a drug lord and he gives himself the alias of Heisenberg. He becomes too involved in the business that he starts losing himself and his loved ones in the process. The acting in the show is absolutely phenomenal and each actor does justice to their roles. 

Bates Motel

A highly underrated yet amazing show, Bates Motel is a contemporary prequel to Alfred Hitchcock’s very famous thriller “Psycho”. The story is about a teenager named Norman Bates and his mother Norma Bates. After her husband mysteriously dies, Norman decides to move with her son to a place called White Pine Bay where she purchases a motel to run a business and she names it “Bates Motel”. With time we realize that Norman is not well psychologically and he has blackouts, which causes him to do things he shouldn’t do. The story is enough to have everyone hooked and the acting couldn’t be better, with the extremely talented Freddie Highmore as Norman Bates and Vera Farmiga playing his mother, Norma. The show is enough to keep you on the edge of your seat through each episode. This show is the best for you if you are into crime shows and thrillers. 


This show is about how a girl who just got out of rehab has a relapse just as soon as she gets out. She involves her friends in her situation, each of whom has problems of their own. The show emphasizes the problems that teenagers these days have and to what degree they struggle with them. The show is very explicit though, it explicitly shows the use of drugs and their aftermath and how it can negatively affect you. The show has a total of two seasons until now and both of them are equally amazing. The show is very aesthetically pleasing and the cinematography is brilliant. The main lead in the show is Ruby “Rue” Bennett who is struggling with addiction and she tries to figure out what her place in the world is. All of the other characters of the show go through very real problems as well such as cheating, identity crisis, and drugs. 


Though it came out recently, Manifest is a very underrated TV Show that everyone should watch. It is about a group of passengers whose airplane magically disappears. They face some turbulence on their flight from Jamaica to New York and once they land in New York, they find out that their plane was missing for five years and all of the passengers were presumed dead. After this incident occurs, the passengers start hearing voices and having visions that guide them to help people. The passengers start referring to these visions and voices as “callings” which they believe are divine. The passengers are stuck between believing in science or the fact that God has chosen them to help people and has given them a second chance at life. Eventually, it becomes the passengers against the world and they have no other option than to help each other out.
